SQTC Management System

ICT sector has been declared as one of the thrust sectors in Bangladesh. The government has started implementing digitization of the government records and innovating e-services for the citizen. But presently no Software Quality, Testing and Certification Center of international standard exists in Bangladesh. So, the software applications that are developed or purchased do not go under a quality process. Because of this, software quality is being compromised and software export to other countries encounters obstacle. There is also a shortage of Software testing professionals in the country. In this context establishment of a world class facility for software quality, testing and certification is much more than a need at the moment.

The main objective for establishing the SQTC unit within Bangladesh is “Building for the future” as part of the Exploratory Program of the Governments strategic plan. The project will facilitate the quality of all software and applications procured by the government entity for e-Government. SQTC will provide quality to the IT/ITES Industry if required to assure overseas clients. Besides, SQTC quality will ensure that the e-Gov applications are free from bugs and malicious code.
